Radiante: path-traced ray tracing for Minecraft Java 26.2+
The ask
Radiante is a real-time path tracing mod for Minecraft Java. It uses its own C++/Vulkan renderer, PrismRT, on the game's Vulkan device, and needs a GPU with hardware ray tracing.
It already works and is open source. It runs on Fabric, NeoForge and Forge for 26.2 and 26.3, and on Fabric for 26.4. It has path-traced light with ReSTIR and a radiance cache, DLSS, Bedrock RTX pack support, volumetric fog, rain that wets the world and dries in patches, a shader pack system with 10 example packs, and in-game debug views for developers.
What it needs now is stability and reach. Most testing so far has happened on one NVIDIA PC, on Fabric. Your backing pays for the part that is hard to do alone: testing on AMD and Intel GPUs, testing Forge and NeoForge in game, fixing what that turns up, and getting all of it into a stable release.
Everything stays open source, so people can also help with code, shader packs, bug reports and test results.
Done when…
Backers check the delivery against this list. It’s locked once others chip in.- Version X published and tested on Minecraft 26.2 Fabric, 26.2 Forge, 26.2 NeoForge, and 26.4 Fabric
- Stability report published (GitHub, blog, or forum) showing test results on AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA across all supported loaders
- Mod runs without crashes or memory leaks for 30+ minutes on typical worlds with ray tracing enabled

This will only work on Hardware Raytracing GPUs,

No one’s said anything yet. Questions about the “done when” list are the most useful thing you can post.
